Menswear Collections
Here are a fsomeexamples of recent collections (Richard Anderson, Drakes and Bergdorf Goodman) that I have really enjoyed of late. There are a number of reasons I like these.
They are well fitting comfortable and classic looking clothes. With a beautiful timelessness about them, this really mesh’s with my own philosophy on clothing, especially tailored menswear.
All of them the collections are also beautifully shot and styled. One of the main things that attracted me to them is their choice of model. All show more mature even ‘rugged’ (I cringe writing that) men. A vast improvement on the pre-pubescent models that dominate the world of fashion.
As a consumer it gives me a much stronger connection to the garments and their creators. Instead of projecting some sample sized fantasy they show that some much more ‘average’ could wear and enjoy them.
